Selwyn might be better for your age
South end is a good area to consider living
For someone your age, I'd recommend the Triangle. Charlotte has a considerably more formal, business-like air. With three big universities and a strong RTP/tech focus, the Triangle provides many more social possibilities for people under the age of 30.
Most of the 30-somethings I know are married homeowners, but I do know some divorcees in that age range who have moved to uptown/South End and love it!
No, and I don’t think I implied that was the case. I’m in the financial services industry, so (as I said) most 30-somethings in *my* professional/social circles are married and have been homeowners for quite some time.
I’m around your age (plus a few years 😃), single, moved here during COVID. I live in the Southpark area and really like it. I think it’s a great city for all of the things you listed. I moved from Dallas which was great as well but huge (and no trees!) Southend is definitely a lot of people in their 20s which is fine it just depends what you are looking for!
There would be plenty of people your age here, it’s pretty easy to meet people, a lot of them will be new too.
Ballantyne is safe, but it's a suburb and a long drive from Uptown. Ballantyne is fine if you don't care about living close to the city center, SouthEnd, Dilworth, Plaza, or NoDa.
