You aren’t going to find anything in a good area for that price. You will have to increase your budget
Don’t do it. We are full. I hear Nashville has space lol
HAHAH Ijust got back from Nashville so this comment has me DYING laughing.
That price point does not exist in Charlotte for a 1br that is even remotely safe.
Ballantyne/ South Charlotte. Expect no difference in cost of living as compared to states like NJ (except low property taxes)
That price point doesn’t exist in Charlotte, try doubling it for a 1br
Oh wow that is crazy! I definitely have more research to do
I live in north Charlotte, near highland creek area. There are a few newer apartment complexes being built near Prosperity Church rd and I-485. I'd stay away from University City - crime is high. South Charlotte / Ballantyne/ Matthews are very busy and more expensive. Steel Creek is south, almost to SC but popular. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
I live in that area too. Its pretty affordable and I really like the area.
Try Concord
This is where I live. I have lived here about a year now and I really really like it.
Will you have parking at work?
Yes, my job has parking available
Crime is everywhere. Of course, some areas will have more than others. Apt rates change everyday, so it’s really just about catching the best deal. I’d say North (mallard creek/highland creek/possibly north lake newer apts), Steele Creek, South (south end, SouthPark, Elizabeth, Cotswold) is more expensive but you may be able to find a good deal. There’s also Ballantyne, but the drive to work might be annoying depending on where you work
I would recommend a larger apt with a roommate. Should be able to find something in uptown or close to it for your budget with a roommate.
You may want to look in the northlake area. I had a 2 bedroom for about 1200, in a luxury apartment about 5 yrs ago. I’m sure it’s 2000 now. But you may be able to find a 1bed room up that way for maybe $1500-16””
I will definitely check it out, thank you 😄!
