I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

I joined fishbowl a month ago and while I’ve seen a couple contentious debates but I must say I’m pleasantly surprised at how respectfully ppl comment on this app even when disagreeing. Usually anonymity on the internet brings out the absolute worst in ppl; they type things anonymously that they would NEVER say in person smh. But I really haven’t seen horrible comments here. I wonder what makes this app diff frm others?

Why does it seem like most democrats are eager to hop aboard the liberal train over ONE agenda? It's like they feel very strongly about something, which is fine this is America and that's your right! But then they agree with EVERYTHING that's liberal or follows alongside their party line. These people NEVER have a good thing to say about anyone involved in politics who are conservative? I am a big Trump fan and even I can't do that.

I haven't been on here for months. Just got caught up in life and this crazy year. I am so glad to see many more of you have joined this group, because I don't know about you, but I am surrounded by people at work who think the opposite of the way I do. And right now, there is so much going on that I am terribly upset about and cannot talk about it at work unless I seek out the few who are conservative and have my values. Glad we have found each other here!

How many of you are open about your political leanings with colleagues? With students? How many of you just keep your head down and keep your political ideas to yourself?

Thank GOD I've found my people! It is SOOO hard to talk freely about things going on right now. Those of us at my school who support Trump, do so as if we're in "underground" communications with hushed tones while scoping out our environment.

Not necessarily a Trump personality fan but putting America first should be our priority. My Trump votes were votes for conservatives and against the elitist Hillary and vegetable Joe. The left has done nothing but create chaos. Luckily, I work in a conservative area. Most of my colleagues are right leaning.

I'm so happy to see this group. I can count on one hand how many President Trump supporters are in my school.

I'm done with this app. People are talking about that parents don't have the right to know if their kid wants to be called by a different pronoun and keeping things from parents. Makes me sick. I told them they're all fucked in the head. So I'll be booted soon. Good knowing some of you. Peace.
