I'm joining #Thoughtworks chennai tomorrow and will be collecting laptop in office. I got a bunch of emails regarding the kick off calls starting at 10:30 AM. Will I be able to get the laptop configured before the calls, if not what should I do?

Also, as a new joinee, What should I do to enter(I mean main gate pass)

Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

If you were offered a job at a great agency but working on just one brand, but it was a big one like Nike or McDonalds, would you do it? Being siloed sucks, but maybe worth it for a big account?

I felt dizziness while working and fell down today.

Hi All, I am 11 yoe, working at a medium sized product company and I got an offer from Thoughtworks (50% hike) for a Lead Consultant role in data engineer profile.

Being a mother, I have anxiety and nervousness about joining a service based company bcoz of doubts below.
1. Job security, considering the upcoming recession is it safe to join TW at this time?
2. How good is WLB at TW for a Lead Consultant? Approx working hours on a daily basis?
3. How flexible is TW for WFH?

Folks, one doubt..... I was hired as a senior consultant in dec 2021. I did not nominated for grade change till now. Will they automatically consider me for grade change or do I have to expicitely talk about it with PC ? Also if grade is changed, how is the impact on salary considering the parity check ? Right now I am at 25 lakhs with 8.3 years of experience.
