McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

Walking is a good stress buster. Another laughing without reason. Please do not try second option without proper supervision otherwise people will consider you mad.
One can aim for min 1 hour walk in morning as well as night during interview process
And don't forget treat yourself after every rejection or selection. Go out to eat, buy something for yourself. Keep in mind don't splurge. These things worked for me. May be it can help others as well.
I will talk about a coincidence. Last year I applied and gave interview for 5 months but met only rejections. Last company where I faced rejections was really good and not hoping myself to be rejected but still things were not on my side. Then i got ill and left the idea of job search.
This year I again started in Feb after 6 months of break and the first company I cleared was the same last company from which I faced rejection. I didn't think at that time but now when I got some free time and looked my past. I believe this was something that was destined for.

Every time I had a rejection I went for a run and then bath in warm water.
The disappointed goes away and you learn from the experience.
Has almost 15 rejections and then 5 sucessful interviews. Finally got the offer I really wanted.
I myself suffer from anxiety and physical excercise is best way to get rid of it

Whatever works for you , life is a marathon itself. There are no shortcuts.
Idk, but these days servicing in np is more stressful than earlier days (before 2018-19).
We are not taking care of our health, not taking proper diet due to this rat race.
Guys, companiya aayegi, companiya jayegi... OL aayenge , OL jayenge... But health bani rhni chahiye...
Pleas take a very good care of your health.
Health is wealth.
No matter how many interviews you attend daily , personally if there any work left to do I would do it at night keep interviews in day time...
Thanks fishes, I took the day off today to spend some time with my family and give myself some rest. The cool breeze in my balcony with no stress at all, hits different 😊
My pray is always with you buddy, all your dreams will come true soon.
1. Don't tell anyone(including your family) that you're attending interviews . Because they ask what happened. If you don't clear it. It's stressful to convey.
2. Do a long time interview preparation, so that one doesn't have to refresh all the concepts at the last minute. Last day preparation is always stressful.
3. One should remember that he/she already having existing job. If you don't get a new job, that's not going to impact at all.
4. One should not compare himself/herself with any one. Especially the salary part.
5. I have seen people doing all the work in one stretch without any break . Instead of this it's less stressful to do the work in small chunks.

Thanks man
I am going through this time from last 3 months...this Friday is my last working day.. 1 week before because of all these and heat I got fall down ..as I have lose 4 kg weight in this time period.. because of stress and offc work. Had to take sick leaves but still waiting for some pending offer letter. Very tough time... health is wealth i understand and now m going for the WLB company and comparatively low CTC with others.
In these 3 months I have decided WLB over money..other in starting i was focused on CTC and learning, growth n all
Choti bacchi ho kya ?
Absolutely true.. In this race most important thing is most neglected which is health... Even when I was on notice period and preparing for interview have lot of stress.. Did not realised put on 4 kg weight in just 2 months...surely it's a invitation to new diseases..our hard earning will be spend in hospitals if not take it seriously..
My suggestion, don't give any interview now, just nore down all mistakes that you did, prepare yourself...then again start to give interview.
Hey buddy, dont take stress.. Its happens with every one at initial.. Its just one interview you need to crack after that you will not look back.. Just take care of your health, dont compare your growth with any one else coz we all are different. For some it takes time but definitely you will achieve what you want. Just have patience. Keep trying at your pace.
All the best :)
I do have anxiety problem, when I get some work. Though I am able to do it still when something comes up, i get nervous. How to handle this situation?
I was like little in that situation. Here are the things that helped me.
1. List down your tasks on paper for the day sorted by priority descending.
2. For each task - write down the steps/process in abstract and follow these steps when doing.
3. Take some 20-30 min break for every 2-3hr focused work. Do only relaxing activities during break eg: watch comedy, chat with family/friends, sleep, meditate. This will help us recharge ourselves.
4. Have sometime daily like 5-6pm for workouts/sports/yoga. Doing it with discipline will create big difference.
5. Go for some place evey 3/6 months and try to have conversation with unknown people.
Last one: DO NOT BRING WORK INTO LIFE AND LIFE INTO WORK.
Take care of your health! Companies will come again.
Take good care man, dont stick to laptop/desktop screen continuously, take frequent breaks, even if work doesn't allow.
Try to walk as @Wipro1 suggested, talk with people, dont just get stuck in office work.
Spend time with Family and friends.
Stress is something that builds up because we dont share things on our mind and it creates anxiety
I can understand what you're going through. Great thoughts from you. Have gone through what you went through since the better part of 2019. Applied for at least 100+ positions and got rejected on almost everyone. Only got 4 interviews out of all of them. At one point, I thought that there was something wrong with me. I had so much stress that I started to get short term memory loss and became so depressed that all I wanted to do was stay in bed to avoid facing another day. Stay strong and healthy!
what did you do to help yourself ? I'm going through same thing or even worse and i can't figure out anything at this point
I remember 3 years back I was rejected from 36 interviews but then was selected in one of the top Product basee company.
Never take stress of rejection coz it's part of life, every rejection is actually a learning.
Remember however much work you have but always take out time for your hobby outside work, this will help you to relax
Trust me! I have been there it seems like worst part of our life but then I realised that it all happens because of overthinking and anxiety, Have a cup of coffee and share your feelings with someone whom you trust.. then you will see the changes, don't overthink everything - it happens and everyone will experience this in their lifetime - Keep yourself strong and believe in yourself, Nothing is more than you, your family and your health...
@OP don't listen to all these people in comment section
They just know how to give clićhe advices
Reality is someone wjo faces only knows the reality and you should be sad and anxious about not getting good offers
Whatever happened to you is good for you only, incase if u got selected in Walmart , you will have to face toxic culture, so it is good that u got rejected and also some good company is waiting for you to selecting you.
