Hi, I’m seeking guidance regarding a career break. I took a break from October 2024 and now am actively looking for opportunities. I have 3 years of experience as a Java Developer. I’m feeling stressed due to AI disruptions and recent layoffs, and many of my applications are being rejected. I would greatly appreciate advice on how to navigate this situation and improve my chances of getting hired.

Whenever I have to put slides together, I doubt myself a million times and it takes too long to make a single slide. I know I have Impostor Syndrome and depression, and the longer it takes to put a slide together, the harder it is to get it done. It’s like I have a phobia for doing the work, but it’s my job as a consultant 😔 I think I fear getting it wrong, but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how they have coped?
