Question for the group. What keeps you from freelancing/ working as a professional services contractor? Are there particular aspects that prevent you from diving in such as concern of gaps between projects, difficulty getting paid from clients, or do you enjoy the w2 position you’re in currently? How do you handle personal investments when married? For example, say you wanted to invest in riskier areas like Bitcoin, Ethereum, defi tokens, etc. Would you talk to your wife before every investment even if it’s time sensitive? Or do you have joint investment buckets where you decide together and then personal investment buckets where you invest on your own? Not married so not sure how this typically works

Hi guys :) Glad to join fishbowl and this community. Guys I have an offer of 14.41 ctc from a big 4 (11 is fixed).
Technology-Microsoft Dynamics 365(I am a functional consultant in SCM and HR; Relevant exp: 3 yrs & Total exp: 4 yrs).
My interviews in IBM are done and I am waiting for the salary discussion with HR.
What is the likely offer that I am going to get? Any idea? (My expectation is 16.5 lpa ctc). I will adjust my expectations as per replies here.

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Should I try to negotiate a raise or look for other opportunities?

If I should negotiate, any tips?

My post is for a lot of folks here who complain about managers not budging to negotiations and not offering package ,what you are expecting.I have one thing to say,there are lot of ibm employees who moved to kyndryl. Inspite of lot of contributions they are earning meagre salary.Now do you expect these people to hire you for more package most of time the package you are demanding is more than what these managers draw. So pls do not look at kyndryl as any other startup.Thanks.
