I’m studying for REG right now and have gotten through all of Becker and am reviewing right now. I’m having a ROUGH time with QBI deductions. I just cannot wrap my brain about it and am about to just take the L.

This is my last part so I went in to pretty confident but REG is a weird animal

Thank GOD I passed that shit before the tax reform stuff

When do you take the test PWC

How does one most effectively make the transition into management from an Individual Contributor?

I've been an individual contributor for 4 years in Tech, have 8 years of experience total. I'm finding it difficult to make the management transition despite having management experience, performing beyond expectations, and having a genuine passion for enablement and development.

I'd appreciate any success stories or pointers you can offer in regards to this transition.

I am currently a year from finishing my PhD and was looking at VC's as a career path because I like to do meta-analysis of different climate change techs. I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

Can we claim for education loan interest deduction while filing our taxes if the loan was taken from a foreign (ex. Indian) bank?

I randomly applied for a job opening with a smaller tech company. Within five days, I got an offer that pays 62% more than my current salary! A part of me is exhilarated, but a part of me feels like I tricked them all. I didn’t lie during the interview, but I definitely played up some of my accomplishments. I also spent extensive hours prepping for the interviews and planned stories that made simple projects seem very elaborate and complex.
How common is this feeling after a job offer?
