From what I know, first of all, if you are not aware of the process, it generally means that your group or LOB is not receiving emails for these certifications. If you are a new joiner, then it's possible you haven't received them yet. Probably, my guess is that your LOB is not receiving those kinds of emails, as they are targeting people who have work related to the certification (e.g., cloud, AI, data security, administration).

Now, if you want to participate in this, you would need to ask for the email from a friend or acquaintance who can forward it to you. Then you can contact the organizers and ask for a discount coupon, generally 100%, but it can vary depending on the program they are running. Even though you may not be part of the group, I believe you can still apply because they also want to show the numbers. There are some other perks as well, for example, if you pass the exam and get the certificate, you are also eligible for a lucky draw to win some amount ($20-25).

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. Is it better to jump firms/has anyone done this?

Do I work at a toxic workplace?

We had a team touchbase where we as a group were asked our concerns regarding year end. I raised my concerns about staffing/expectations (the team is 75% new) since last year was demanding with us being up to 1 AM the day before deadline.

My director was on the call but not my VP. My VP reached out today and said he doesn’t appreciate hearing such comments on the grapevine but I was confused b/c all i did was answer the question I was asked.
