It was a huge deal. I was paying $4.5K a month toward the end. I paid off 17 years and somewhere around $300K+ in loans off this past August. I had my second child in September. I’ve been banking all that $$ for the first time in forever. The $$ will go to pay off the car now and then finally FINALLY can start saving for a house.
Mentally, I don’t feel hopeless anymore. I feel like there are brighter things ahead and I won’t be in debt forever. It felt really really good. And I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished professionally and personally
I just finally felt like I could start building a solid future. I was holding off on mostly everything because loans had me in constant stress mode. Mentally, it felt like a huge victory—I was no longer worried about that looming debt, and it allowed me to focus on other goals.
Huge relief and lifted a major weight off my shoulders. Now I'm making a lot more sound investments and working my way towards my goals. I finally feel like I know where my money is going and for what.
By getting refused of loan because my classes were canceled, I started to notice the reality of loans not that I wouldn’t recommend it to people, but definitely think about it before applying for it and another advice. Make sure that the classes that you’re taking is something that you want to take because as soon as you take, this loan is not backing out even if the class is not what you thought how it was or Anything of that sort cause I hear it all the time and people are getting stuck with this loan I wasn’t able to finish classes, cause it wasn’t something that they wanted to do or thought that how the classes were so even coming out and graduating
I haven't paid off my loans yet. However I paid off my $26,000 truck (after having it for 4 years) and the feeling was sooooooooo amazing. So I can only imagine how it will feel once my loans are done.
If no one has told you, you are doing a great job paying on your loans. We got this ❤️ !
I moved 1/2 that budget line to the 529 and the other 1/2 to index funds.
Paid them off in 2020 and I never felt so free!!✨
