Still making payments
I know I should be making payments, but have instead put that money towards extra mortgage payments. Figured that debt ain’t going anywhere soon ($240k left…) and it’s an immediate impact on bottom line to get out of PMI while I have the chance for extra payments.
It all depends on your situation. My student loan interest rates are between 5.3-5.9% and my mortgage is only 2.7% so it’s a no brainer to pay off the one with the higher interest for me.
Not making a single payment since the freeze. Saving cash for a big down payment for a house when the market will dip and mortgage rates will still
be high.
