How do you all stay motivated when your job feels frivolous? I'm well paid and my job is fine but if nobody did it the world would not suffer. I'm not against capitalism, just kind of tired of "business" I guess.

I went for 3 interviews with a company met with vp and was given package thinking I aced interview there was another candidate 😞 the other person for the job. The VP calls me to tell me I didn’t get position however he wants me to re apply in new year that something else will be open, and that he wanted to keep a copy of my resume what does this mean ?
