Dm for refferal!

Guys, a query from me - got an offer from a reputed renewable industry company so wanted to know if I'll be going downhill or uphill in my career. Note: Position is in Europe, naturally way better money than India, and its an ex client wanting me to join them. He is keen to get me in.

I've been with USI for 2.5 years. I'm located in VA and they absolutely have competitive pay here. I've worked at multiple agencies and USI is by far the most organized and offers all the resources you need to be successful. I recently transferred within the company to a different department and both managers have been extremely supportive. When it comes to raises...its about the same at most companies, no matter how well you perform they will give pathetic raises. I got a 3% raise after meeting all my KPI and being an excellent employee (team player, loyal, knowledgeable, I do my job correctly with minimal errors and personable with clients) yet they are only willing to give pitiful raises. I beleive strongly the only way you will get compensated properly in your career is to job hop or threaten to leave. I really want to stay with the company as they are a great company to work for but annual raises kill me because I know I can make more if I go to another company. Turn over is an issue and I come to the conclusion its because it's a self taught environment. You will have others to lean on but you are expected to use the resources given to self teach. Most people that I've seen come and gone are those who don't handle stress well or need a different teaching style. I hope this helps.
Not sure what city you are in but USI has a high turnover rate in Houston. I had a terrible interview there once and now they reach out every so many years or months to see if I would like to interview. Obviously it depends on your team. I would ask red flag questions like what’s the average tenure, is this a new position or am I replacing someone. How long were they here. In the final stages I would ask if I could see my potential work area if it’s in office or hybrid to gage the vibes. Good luck!!
Proceed with caution. The specific region/office/dept will vary. They don’t give raises much and bonuses are touted as generous but personally I’d rather get a raise to keep up with inflation each year. so negotiate at where you want to be if you go down this road. I left USI after several years and I knew I head being overworked but I am amazed at how much that truly was now that I am somewhere else and able to keep regular hours without falling behind. P&C in Ohio.
Thank you for your input! I’m in Southern California and I read some pretty scathing reviews on Glassdoor so I think I’m going to stay away. Plenty of other opportunities available.
