Yes, if I’m thinking about them, they’re getting charged.

likefunny

I'm gonna have to bill a lot for just thinking about them! ;)

Yes! I’ll usually put down an hour a week at least

Always. Whether I charge a flat fee or hourly, any kind of communication gets baked into what the client pays. Some emails take more that 1/4 hour, too, when you consider the back and forth.

like

I agree! I'm not tracking my time on emails because I get them at random times, just they can be a time suck!

Do you guys feel like Biden is actually the cause of the unemployment rate being down? In 18 states where the rate is down significantly, 15 of them are run by republicans... just saying. Everyone's praising him for bringing the economy back but I'm still unemployed...and the cost of living is more pricey than ever.

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...

Grammar Question, using this sentence: How you say, “thoughtful design” in French. <for that sentence do I need the comma after say? And does “thoughtful design” have to be in quotes?>

When non-ad ppl ask you what do you do? In terms of title; do you tell them “copywriter”? Or immediately assume they dont know and might confuse it with copyright infringement, and just end up telling them that you’re a writer or a creative director, and skip the hassle

So, you’ve reached the stage of your career where you care more about cashing a fat paycheck than making “creative ads”. You’d rather have the resources and free time to fulfill your creative itch outside of work than try to sell the next big idea to an 28 year old marketing manager with an annual budget of 150k. How do you make the absolute most money as a copywriter while still working a 9-5? Asking for... a... friend?

I had a call w/ a recruiter and after hearing about the job, I *really* want it. But I’m worried I priced myself out of the role. I sent my resume/portfolio after and haven’t even gotten a reply that she received it, and I’ve followed up. I’ve been getting recruiter messages offering salaries up to 120k for copy/senior copy roles (which surprised me) so I gave 110-120 as a range on the call. She hesitantly said she thought 115 would be OK. But wondering if the salary could be the issue? Thought?
