Yes, definitely. As I sit here in my home office with the windows open and the sun shining and it’s 70° in January.
Have lived in NY, and I prefer LA much more. The weather and more relaxed lifestyle are huge pros
Seriously quality of life is so much better out here. I lived in NYC for 8 years before making the move.
I say yes. I moved here from Chicago and love the fact that I have my windows open and can relax on my balcony in mid-January.
Client work for those on the east coast get tricky, but my clients have been conscious to not schedule things when I won’t be online. I’ll go online as early as 7 if need be, but then I end my day by 3-4 pm and go work out.
Only two downsides being the cost of living here, which shouldn’t shock you too much coming from NYC and the lack of decent public transportation. I hate driving, but they love it here. If you need to be somewhere quick(ish) grab an Uber. Busses and trains are super unreliable unless you want drugs. Then that’s where you can find them lol
I took the MTA for a year I just didn't feel like driving. It came in handy when I was attending LACC because there's a stop right at the college. And I took it to go out some times. Some days I just like to take the MTA to random stops and check out the neighborhoods. I still had to ride my bike to some of the stations though.
I agree with the above! Born and raised here. Try living on the West side (Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, etc). Great places to be.
Omg hey y’all! 🌈
Wether weather weather abs people here care about more than $$$, I find NY so ‘ how much do you earn, what school, where do you live’. lA is much more chill and eclectic
The other stereotype is girls being flaky. This too is true. Source: I’m a flaky la girl
Yes.
