Our organization certainly recognizes people for doing good work. And that can take various forms, from just a conversational mention that someone did a good job, to a more formal mention put in someone's permanent file. I'm not sure how to assess whether it's too much or not enough. I suppose people would say it's never too much! And I know I've done a good job at times and no one made a big deal out of it, but that was fine. I'm doing this work because I want to do a good job, and personal satisfaction is generally enough to make me happy.
Honestly I feel like this is the first company I have worked at that really prioritizes rexognizing their employees which is really nice. They really do go out of their way to make us feel valued and appreciated.
Well, we will either get a thank you email, a thank you at the end of a meeting or nothing at all. Yep, that is about it. Management does not like to give too much recognition. I suppose they are worried will want raises if we think we are good at our jobs. So no, I would it is not enough.
