Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

All three are good choices with strong opportunities imo. If you want to do Big Pharma consulting, NY/NJ/PA is especially great. Boston and SF tend to have more midsize and small biotechs if you're interested in the more emerging companies (also some Big Pharmas too).
I currently work for a biotech research firm based in SF (remote) so prefer midsize/small biotechs with specific platforms to stay as close to biotech as possible. Is it possible to do this in New York? I know there’s certainly an emerging biotech scene but obviously nowhere near Boston/SF
NYC has plenty of LS consulting. There are a ton of LS firms in NJ/NY that are covered by agencies in NYC.
Honestly I previously worked for a NJ-based consulting firm and easily half of my projects were for biotech, and I know people who were based in Boston who worked almost exclusively for large pharma. Consulting has gone so virtual that I'm not convinced location matters.
