I might be very lucky that I didn’t join Google before the summer as I’m not stressed about potential layoffs… but on the other hand i do feel unlucky to finally fulfill my dream and make it through the recruitment process, only to get stuck in the team-matching stage. And then the freeze.. how long can people stay on the list until they get hired? Or does your place on the list ever expire?Google

I am interested to learn more about your profile, and the type of skill sets that one would require to become a clinical research assistant. Would love to connect !
It’s frustrating when you feel like your progress is tied to a piece of paper. I have a bachelor’s too, and sometimes it feels like a Master’s could make the difference, but I’ve seen plenty of people go far with just a bachelor’s and a lot of experience. Have you tried looking into any certifications or networking opportunities that could help move things along?
I totally get where you're coming from. The pressure can feel overwhelming. But before you walk away, have you thought about stepping back from the constant grind, maybe shifting your focus to a different area in tech or working for a smaller, more supportive company? Sometimes a change in environment or focus can reignite that passion without leaving the field entirely. That helped me when I felt like jumping ship.
Bachelor's here, but I'm waiting up and saving up for my master's. I think it'll really help me advance my career as well. It seems like I am limited to being a tech until I get a more advanced degree, but I need to save the money first because I'm not getting into any more student debt.
I don’t think my MSc has done squat for me, but in more technical roles, I think higher degrees are preferred. There may also be other reasons that you’re not seeing as contributing factors for your perceived stall.
