How often do you cover shifts for your coworkers? I feel like I get asked to cover shifts anytime I have a day off.

Rare occasion for me to cover a shift. I’m already at work a lot, so showing up one more time is a big thing to ask.

I've done it now and then, for people who are friendly with me and who may have some serious reason to take the time off. I tend to avoid doing it just because it sets a bad precedent. If you become known as someone willing to cover shifts things can get out of hand.

I’ve picked up a lot of my coworker’s shift before. My company has a high turnover rate of employees and they always need me to cover their shift. I mostly cover part time associates shift.

If it doesn’t negatively impact my personal schedule, I will usually take over a shift or help someone find coverage when needed.

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Hi! I am seeking for an advise, anything helps! I applied to Accenture’s entry level analyst program. I applied a few days ago (I know it’s a bit late, but the application is still open thankfully). Yesterday, I joined a resume workshop w/ an Accenture recruiter. She went through my resume and said that I have a strong one! I’ve also set up a coffee chat w/ her next week. Unfortunately, I got an email today from the system, they decided not to move forward :( Should I reach out to her abt this?

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Would you work at your company again if you were laid off?
