Hello, I am having my first connect with recruiter at Amazon for modernisation Architect role next week. It is scheduled for 30 min. Could anyone throw some lights on how the first connect looks like. Do I need to prepare in terms of behavioral questions(which I seen quite a lot in everyone's post) . Thank in advance you for your support.
I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.
It is, the company would have to have a Canadian division, you’d be employed by the Canadian division. Without that, they couldn’t hire you because you aren’t eligible to work in the US, and the US entity wouldn’t have a way to pay you or hold taxes or comply with your local laws, etc.

Harder than most people think. The US company must register as a foreign agent in the specific country and must comply with local regulations such as labor, tax, immigration, and data laws.
I work in Canada remotely for an American company that has a Canadian division. Salaries aren’t transparent, but based on Glassdoor and Payscale websites, I’m making 15% less than average.
I make $80k CAD, but total comp on my 2021 taxes was 90k.
Yes. I work for a US startup and they pay my company so I’m basically a full-time contractor.
