How was Level 2 compared to level 1? People make it sound it’s gonna be dramatically harder but was wondering how people think

I passsed level 1 with a really low confidence level. I ended up doing really well. I studied harder and felt incredibly confident walking into level 2 and knew immediately I would probably have to retake. I failed really bad. I’m not worried about the retake, but the studying this time around is going to be on a more frequent basis, not only 3-4 days but maybe smaller parts every day. Lots of formulas to memorize. I think level 1 was easier to guess with a background in finance.

L2 is much more in-depth than L1 and feels like there is just so much more content (not sure if that’s actually true, just how I felt). I’d suggest putting in 350+ hours for L2. Better to overstudy for L2 IMO.
I passed all on 1st try using CFAI materials + MM videos.

What are some good practices during the sales phase of a potential project to execute before the contract is signed? Seems obvious but would love some ideas on standard operating procedures that help with seamlessly handing over a signed contract to the account team. My employer has a sponsorship program that the CFA qualifies for. They sponsor 100% but only after 6 months of full-time permanent employment; thus I will qualify in may 2023 (I just started). Should I wait for may for them to pay, or pay the initial costs myself to avoid delaying my career longer? I'm 26 & 1/4th and just graduated college. My new role and future career aspirations are finance / computer engineering hybrid. Current employer is in private banking.
