If your role is being closed/being laid off (not due to performance issues) just firm downsizing, do you tell the companies you are interviewing? How to phrase it?

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. The honest answer is that there isn’t enough work to go around at my agency and I want to get ahead of the inevitable layoffs. What’s the best way to tell them this? I’m severely depressed, I’m genuinely struggling with a lot. I have suicidal thoughts everyday and am isolated. I have no friends too, is there anyone here who is down to chat for sometime ?

One of the things that my ADD coach helped me with was realizing that I wasn’t prioritizing activities that help me feel recharged. Between work and home responsibilities, I was just burnt out and overwhelmed.

So now when I start to get burned out I focus on reducing auditory overwhelm, getting outside, listen to music, get comfortable, read a fun book, etc.

As we’re heading into the weekend, what are some things you do to recharge and give yourself a break?
