My advice is to keep going. Don’t give up. Speak to those you know who are employed and see if they can refer you to their place. Speak to your former school to see if they can help with job placement. I hope you get the position you’re seeking soon, best of luck!
The job market for young people is dire at the moment. Know it's not you, tens of thousands are experiencing the same. I hate to say it but one month is nowhere near enough. As the other person said, keep going.
I'd add to that that it's important to have the right tools under your belt to maximise the likelihood of hearing back from a potential employer. I highly recommend visiting your local jobs centre (you should be able to apply/book an appointment online). They will assign you a work coach, who will help make your CV more attractive, recommend you jobs, even refer you to local employers. They also send out a weekly newsletter with information on local jobs, some of which never get public listings (so little competition). Too many people ignore the job centre, thinking it's just for adults out of work or those who struggle to hold down a job, but I have family who used to work there and they say that young people are their ideal client - it's much easier for them to find work for someone like you than it is some other people. Seriously, it's there, take advantage! You don't get much these days for free.
Another idea would be to look into companies that hire a lot of young people, such as retail chains like Next PLC. These are not typically great jobs, but they'll start you earning and offer you experience to help build your CV,
