It would likely get clawed back if there isn’t additional spend to cover the gap. It’s not great, but you could buy some points (lifelines are running their solid 160% bonus promotion).
I buy gold from Costco- with exec cash back of 2% and a pints or cashback card (or hitting a SUB), I usually come out $100-150 an ounce ahead.
Also consider prepaying bills. Eg I can make a $750 T-Mobile payment and it will cart forward, pay your insurance early if you can etc.

I would not do that. Can you pre-pay some bills? Or buy gift cards?
I would buy grocery gift cards. Also, could you pre-pay taxes?
Yes, prepay expenses you know will happen this year - income/property taxes, cellphone bill, internet, home/car insurance, kids school lunch, doctors, dentist, vet if you’re going to have appointments that insurance won’t cover fully. I don’t recommend this unless you fully trust the contractors. I have even prepaid my lawn mowing service, but that was after me using them for 11 years.
Biggest and easiest solve is probably buy a visa or Mastercard gift card. Gives flexibility to spend the money anywhere while mitigating the no-sub risk

It will count for most banks. Just be careful with Amex though.
I believe prepaying your next month’s rent is the best option.
Do you have rent? Variables services that you can use to pay with credit card. The fees generally make it not worth it, but this is a great use case where it makes sense
You could buy southwest flights and cancel them, it getting the refund in flight credits.
These are all great suggestions! Thank you all. Likely going to buy a gift card, wanna double check Chase sapphire includes it in acceptable transactions towards SUB. Any idea?

Yeah Chase doesn't really care. I've hit multiple SUBs with Chase cards solely buying VGC/MCGC. You may need to split across a few purchases as stores can have limits on GC sales.
If you want the most flexibility, buy VGC/MCGC when they're on sale. Starting Sunday should be VGC at Staples. Or you can just buy closed loop ones anywhere (Amazon, Target, etc).
Pro tip, CSP gets 3x for online groceries. If you buy using the Whole Foods / Kroger app in store, it will code as online.
