I think that MR have good redemption value, but when buying on the travel website, the prices offered are always higher than google. So google will give me $100, Amextravel will give me $120, and sure, they say it’s $12000 points to fly, but it’s over an inflated base

UR > MR. Higher ceiling and floor
I don’t even know what this is meant to mean. UR hardly has any utility for points transfers outside of Hyatt these days and it’s not worth it to save for miles to use in the travel portal.
MR. I’ll take ANA and Delta One all day.
Agreed. If Delta is accessible to you go with AmEX.
I have plat and CSR and use plat to book my flights

What is your primary airline? Where are you based?
Chicago. Fly mainly southwest which gets me enough points for flying domestic but would like another type of points for international travel.
What's everyone's justification for their preference? Seems like people are split one way or the other
@Consultant 3 therefore you use MR to Lifemiles to book United. I never use Chase points to book with United directly. It’s not good value.
Depends on what you plan on using your points for. I love Amex and use my points for airline travel. However, my 2 main airlines are not amex partners so I have to go with UR.
Hey BCG1. I usually need to fly United or Southwest (my preference). I forgot about looking into the any alliances with United. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks!
MR is more valuable but UR are easier to earn
