My aunt recently passed away, leaving behind 2 young girls (16 and 12 years old). I’m trying my best to be there for them and pray for them, and have been asking people to pray for them as well. Until I started question what is the point of asking people to pray for them? I know God hears my prayers, so why do we ask people to pray ?

Almost 18 weeks pregnant with no end in sight for fatigue and nausea. This week, my brain has added the stress of who will watch my toddler while I go into labor. Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone. We’ve been attending a church for about 6 months now and trying to decide if it’s our church home. The only reason I’m hesitant is because people don’t seem to engage with us as much as I expected. For example, I told the pastors wife about a serious diagnosis we recently received and she did pray for us on the spot, but no one has reached out to us at all to check in. Am I expecting too much?
