I am horrible at networking.... plain and simple. I can speak in a public setting, no problem. But going up to people one on one... scary cat. I am wanting to move my family to a different state (Washington from California) so I can provide a better life. But I feel like I have hit the proverbial wall. I know that the job market is rough. But I have checked out Indeed, LinkedIn and various recruiters. Is there another site or way? Hopefully without networking....

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Any particular segment of sales good for ex-finance? Currently 3 years in at fortune 100 bank on business development side (on commercial loan originations team but no commission/targets at the associate level, basically do credit analysis and build pitch books for the producers) This role has been great as I have gotten both analytical experience and tasted sales experience (I say taste bc I’m not the producer) but would potentially like to transition to a sales role that is less analytical
