How hard/ impossible is it to get into the block chain practice? I'm already in risk assurance, and my interests are in blockchain rather than process assurance

Yah because the uses of block chain are infinite and the code isn't hopped up and full of open source stupid

Do the firms *actually* have blockchain practices that generate revenue? Not talking about direct admit partners from the industry that get paid to put out talking points?

Learn some programming skills and you should be solid

Currently at pwc, the blockchain practice is extremely small (like 3/4 people). If you are staff level and just hoping to work on a blockchain engagement, that’s not realistic at this point - maybe in 4-5 years. If you are higher up and want to get more involved in the strategy, then it may be possible if you have the requisite knowledge. If that’s the case, have your partner ask around - it’s based out of NYC.

I really don't like it and I'm working towards a career change which I'm actively applying for and getting certified etc. However, it's been a slow process and I'm currently underpaid where I am so would it be wise to make a lateral move to another MEP firm simply because they offer me more money while I still look for a different job separate from this field? Or just tough it out?

I'm interested in investigations but also analytics, financial modeling, and expert witness services. Throw in salary potential for bonus points. I'll be getting my CPA, CFE, and CAMS.
