I applied for affordable housing in an area that is 45 mins to an hour away from & was offered an apartment that is $1642; however, I only make $55,000. To me, that's NOT AFFORDABLE. T don't understand how they determine that was an affordable rate to offer me based off of my income & assets. I thought that I was going to be able to accept this housing &put my 2 weeks in at this toxic ass job im working in right now--but I can see now that that can't happen unless I get a good paying job. Smh
