I declined a job offer by emailing HR and letting them know I wasn’t accepting and they didn’t reply back. This is my first time declining an offer. Is that normal? I was expecting a “thanks for letting us know, we’re sorry to hear that” confirmed I made the right decision even more but curious what’s normal. Are they just being petty?

We often feel like what we do for a living should bring us happiness. There is some truth to that. But I say let your personal goals and aspirations bring you happiness and use your job to support your life. No matter how good the job is it’s not going to replace your life experiences.

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
