I don’t see my role as implementing SAP. Implementation is execution. My value is decision protection. I step in to identify where assumptions are weak, where risks are hidden, and where leadership confidence is based on incomplete information. Most large SAP failures don’t come from technical mistakes. They come from decisions that were never challenged. Preventing those moments early is far more valuable than fixing problems later.

When beginning a piece of literature, I first help the kids access the relevant culture. I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. Recently they researched heraldry for the Medieval Era and reproduced either a family crest that they found or created their own personal crest. Anyone have other activities they use?

I’m an introvert in strategy consulting, working in US, born in India. I find it difficult to host client meetings - how to drive conversation, fill in the pauses, and help drive the group move towards next steps consensus. It’s not that I don’t know how, it’s that I doubt myself, and my language skills. I see some other SC/Ms just repeating what others said, and just talking too much of what’s already known - and they are appreciated. How do I reach a stage where I am able to do this better?
