I’m an introvert in strategy consulting, working in US, born in India. I find it difficult to host client meetings - how to drive conversation, fill in the pauses, and help drive the group move towards next steps consensus. It’s not that I don’t know how, it’s that I doubt myself, and my language skills. I see some other SC/Ms just repeating what others said, and just talking too much of what’s already known - and they are appreciated. How do I reach a stage where I am able to do this better?

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. I’m a newly graduate from a community college. My program of study was Health Information Technician. I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

For staff/seniors in public accounting. Would you rather be paid 1 1/2 for your tax season overtime hours or would you prefer to wait for a big fat bonus check at the end of the company year? I heard KMPG paid overtime at 1.5 back in the day when the others didn't. I am sure they have now cut that out though.
