I feel rude when I'm typing on my laptop during meetings, but this is usually how I take notes. The rest of my team seem more engaged but just scribble it down on paper. Should I confirm to seem more involved or do I stick to my system? How does everyone else approach this?

You probably do come off as disengaged, sanity question is do others find you to be structured? If they do that's a positive. However the value of being engaged and showing engagement is more then just the quality of notes. It's a social game as well.

I am probably a bit senior - but I did take my own notes on paper, these days however typically the more junior person takes the notes and then distributes - the process helps them grow as well.

Taking notes on paper is also great mentally to retain the information but can be more of a hassle to get into email.

Don't have a perfect answer since there are many variables - but urge you to prioritize engagement over notes!

Dubai people I live in Marquise Square tower and my neighbor is having a party literally every day till 4-5 in the morning- I spoke to him and he apologized and promised to keep it quiet but he didn’t. So I spoke to the security if they can tell them to calm down and the security said that he can’t do anything as it’s the weekend! Is that normal or should they give me a noise compliance and force him to stay quiet after some time.
