I got laid off a year back from a CM firm here in Vancouver, Canada. They didn't give me any specific reason, though, it all happened a 4-5 days before my vacation, as I was going for a month to visit my family after 2 years.
Now to present day, I am rarley getting any interviews calls, though I have 8 years~Singapore, 3 years~Canada and 3 years~India, where I worked as architect, CM's, GC's and consultant. I've done my LEED AP, PMP, on path to being a well AP. What can I do to be employed ?

I recently laid off from First Source because There is no work in Mortgage process. I'm getting offer from a company but less 30% less package as compared to First Source. Im the only earning person for my family and don't have any financial backup. Should I Join for temporary ?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

People with dogs: how did you get your dog used to city life? My dog is almost a year and half now (having lived the past ~5 months in the city) and he is terrified of the city. We used to live in the suburbs so much more quiet and low key. The cars going by, sudden sounds, bikes/scooters are a huge stressor, but more than anything it’s people - if he sees anyone walking or around him he panics and tries to flee. I can’t afford to send him to an expensive dog trainer and don’t know what to do :/
