Any layoff expected in bny ?

I got laid off today! I’m at lost of words and don’t know how to react… I am looking for a job!! Would anyone be open to giving me a referral? Based in Canada but open to US or anywhere remote as well. Have ~7-10 years of experience, mostly in strategy consulting. Please help!

Big Four consultants, what is your firm’s policy for this year on promotions, raises, bonuses, layoffs? At PwC there’s a freeze on raises, minimal promotions and smaller bonuses. Pay-cut for partners. No layoffs, at least in the near future.

How are layoffs decided at B4 and Midtier? Is it from on high (i.e. your utilization and outlook is shit). Is it the partner(s) you work under being like oh yeah fuck this guy, let him go and let's keep Debby who hasn't billed dick in a dick year. Just curious. Advice from recruiters needed on explaining second unemployment period due to 2 layoffs in 4 years. The first time I set up a small biz which did minimal business. Covered first 7 month layoff period without fully disclosing my inactivity. Are recruiters starting to catch on to “Name, LLC” as a euphemism for “unemployed”?

I was referred to McKinsey last month but haven’t heard back yet. The system still say “submitted”. Obviously things are slow with the holidays and recruiters don’t reach out to new people for a bit. But my question is: how quick is the McKinsey recruiting process? My firm now can’t get enough people in the door to fill projects. Hi, UBS HR has said she has initiated offer approval in the system.
Does that mean offer letter release? How long does it take for me to get that from here?

I got an offer in UBS pune with 20 lakh fixed CTC for AO role, plus 80k shift allowances + 2.5 lakh relocation.
Also have an offer from Capgemini Pune for Manager role 26.75 lakhs ( 24.2 lakh fixed + 2.5 variable).
YOE - 13 years. This is my first switch.

Current location Chandigarh, UBS asking for joining in Pune office, Capgemini asking for Remote joining.
