As if it wasn’t hard enough for front line workers, now we’re hearing about fake N95s that have been distributed to healthcare workers. Need I remind you, this occurred during the “Complain about PPE and you’re fired” fiasco. 🤬

I got laid off from my job as an account manager at a SAAS company. I’ve been applying non stop for similar jobs in saas for the past 2 months and I’m not having a lot of success with interviews. Either not getting them or not getting an offer because they go with a candidate with more experience (I have 1 year experience). Any advice for companies to apply to or with getting an offer despite not having as many years experience as others?

A single mom that works in the medical field has an infant and she feared she will transmit COVID-19 to the infant by continuing to go to work. She was also worried leaving her infant to a babysitter will expose the infant to the virus. So she had to temporarily quit work to take care of the infant. She was denied unemployment because she wasn’t technically laid off. She’s struggling with her finances. Is there anything she can do to get assistant from the government?

If the layoff is not necessarily to go through performance improvement plan, then is there a standard dashboard look to evaluate ourselves about how close we are at?

Ok, so I have a couple of offers, one kind of lackluster, for the County. The other is for a credit union-I left credit unions a few years ago to join a FinTech supporting credit unions)
I was laid off last month and have had a flurry of interviews…this credit union offer is my favorite so far, I do have another offer I’m waiting for from another tech company which has a much higher salary range, but nothing is written in stone.
Should I counter? The offer is $95k for a project manager.

Would you submit a resignation letter(RL) if the employer is requesting one? I used to work in Sales with a Fortune 500 company for 8 years before leaving and starting a new role in IT with a small biz(medical practice). Was fortunate to have the opportunity to 180 my field, but the practice manager is an impulsive leader, which leads to a lot of disorganization. I am remote and they need someone FT. When we spoke about it they gently fired me because I couldn’t go FT, and now want a RL.

Boyfriend has seemed to be dropping a ton on me lately, even after I got bad news that my company is t doing so hot this week and layoffs are approaching. First it was that we may be moving to another state for his job, then it was that his brother may need to move in with us for a few months after he graduates

Currently up north, I make $26.11/hr to train new techs and pharmacists and have received a raise every year since 2019. Is this there anything even comparable in VA? I have 3 years experience and an associates degree in health science. Is it even worth looking?

I was affected by layoffs about a month ago and urgently looking for a good immigration lawyer. The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. There is a lot of noise and wrong information going in the market so looking for good recommendations.
