Human nature. Everyone is prone to second-guessing after the fact. If things went as well as you say, you shouldn't be worried. Two days is nothing. Sit tight for a week, then follow up if you still haven't heard anything. I'm guessing you will.
Conversation Starter
You are right, two days is barely a breath in hiring timelines. I think I let the emotional high of a good conversation make the silence feel louder than it is. I need that reminder to zoom out.
A lot of times we believe what we want, and we really want to believe in a positive outcome. And, as we probably know more than most people, what happens in a meeting may not tell the whole story. All the world's a stage, of course. Still, if you think you did well and hit the points you wanted to, you should still be confident and expecting good news.

That is the hard part. I walk out replaying the connection and forget there are budgets, internal candidates, and politics behind the curtain. I am learning to separate a good conversation from a guaranteed outcome.
