A wfh industry role at that salary will be immensely stressful, especially if that entails you’re at a senior director or VP level
G1 - nobody said anything about expectations. Why not look to improve my WLB and grow comp? I’ve got up to 30 more years of full time work, why not look for other options?
Have you considered a sabbatical? Maybe taking a couple of months off will help.

Nope. Industry roles in tech pay more and are nowhere near as stressful. A typical Google/ FB L6 exit will pay about 400 to 500k for Corp strat roles with 45 to 50 hours of non intense work. Obviously comp growth beyond 500k slows down.
Ignoring unicorn roles of course, not saying OP can’t land one though
D1 - I have, multiple 6-8 week global trips in the pre-COVID times. Stress hits a lot harder without those big soul cleansing milestones, and realizing I’m just not happy feeling like shit in between resets.
M1 - Sigh, I kind of suspected so.
I guess YOLO on Doge coin with last year’s bonus is the best plan.
Honestly covid is causing many people including myself to feel the same way you do. However, I know once things go back to normal I’m pretty happy in this role.
As you kinda outlined in your other reply, having to reply to calls immediately is more irritating during covid and boundaries are blurred because no one knows when you’re in the office.
The truth is, most things can wait and if you aren’t available it isn’t the end of the world. If you want to tune out, just toss your phone on the couch and tune out. Work will still be there after you’d taken your time enjoy a nice dinner and Top Gun 😁
Op what path and level are you now?

What industry can you exit to?
As an EM, you can get salary, bonus and RSUs that total just over $300K pretty easily if you're MBB or top T2. I was getting offers in this range.
I went to a PE portco and since it is more risky I have more equity comp. So my TC is about 20-30% above that.
How do you become a sr expert at mbb?
