Last time I check 70% of folks who accept counteroffers, leave within a year of acceptance. You looked for a job for a reason, has that changed?
My philosophy has always been to present to my current employer exactly what I need to make me happy (within reason, of course). If they can't provide that, then I can leave with a clear conscience.
You mention a few things (e.g., working at home) that seem to be the basis for your having looked elsewhere. Add those to the counter-offer and see what they say. If they say no, then you'll know what to do next.
I think it more depends on whether or not you want to stay where you're at now. If you want to leave I would go.
I have heard really good things about them. I had a friend who worked there and she said the culture and wlb are great. She also said the benefits are good.
