I feel like an idiot for not having the slightest idea what this is 😂. I'm making a note to Google later. God knows I need all the review prep help I can get.

I don't blame you, I learned it myself not long ago! You can ask for help whenever you needing here as people are very supportive and informative.
I have never even heard of that before. That honestly sounds like a really cool tool. Thank you for sharing this.

Yeah, I’ve actually started doing a mini 360-style self-evaluation before my annual reviews the last couple of years, and honestly it’s been a game-changer for me.I don’t do a full formal 360 with feedback from peers/reporting staff/attendings (our system doesn’t really support that easily), but I basically pretend I’m everyone else and rate myself from their perspectives. I’ll make sections like:“What my manager probably thinks I’m strong at”
“Areas my manager likely thinks I need to improve”
“What the techs/residents would say about working with me”
“What the physicians I round with would say”
“What patients/family members likely experience”
Then I score myself 1-5 in a bunch of categories and write out specific examples. It sounds kinda cheesy, but it forces me to step out of my own head and spot blind spots—like realizing I’m great at complex clinical stuff but come off as rushed/short with the techs when we’re slammed. The best part? When I go into the actual review, I’m rarely surprised by the feedback, and I already have thoughtful responses and improvement plans ready. Last year my manager actually commented that my self-assessment was one of the most realistic and actionable she’d seen.
