I just got my first lead role, and instead of celebrating, I’ve spent the last 48 hours convinced they sent the offer letter to the wrong person. I keep waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder and tell me I’m actually not qualified to be here. Do we ever actually outgrow imposter syndrome, or do we just get better at hiding it as we move up the ladder? I’d love to hear from some of the senior scientists here!
