I just started an investment network for angels/accredited investors to get connected with startups and small businesses. We have 20 pitches and many more building pitches, but struggling to onboard accredited investors. Anyone have any advice/ideas for outreach?? Really passionate and willing to work any channel to expand our network. Thanks you!

Hi there!
Some things that you may want to get curious about:
- when you say there´s “so much to learn” - get specific about all those things, list them down and then think which one is the most important for you to focus on learning right away? Then what’s the next one, and the next one...
- what kind of support did you get when switching to the new role? What areas do you feel like you need support with? Did you have a chat about that with your manager?
- start your day by planning for your day ahead - where do you wish to be by the end of the day and based on that, what do you need to do? What can you delegate?
- focus on what you DO know, CAN do, ARE able to, and build on top of that - there´re surely so many amazing skills and value you´re bringing with you from your previous role :)
If you’d like, feel free to message me/connect on LI, I´ll be happy to learn more and offer some additional insights.
Wish you all the best!
I'd recommend sitting down with your new manager and coming up with a 30/60/90 day plan outlining what you are planning to focus on to facilitate your onboarding, what you plan to accomplish/contribute at each time interval, and what results you hope to deliver at the end of each time pd. Come prepared with what you think you should be doing/learning and have an open conversation with your boss to see if he expects anything different. Also have stretch goals for each time period and be transparent about what you think you'll need for support from him (i.e intros, acces to docs/links, where to go for stuff, trainings, etc).
Hopefully once you have more structure and endorsement on what you should be doing some of the anxiety will go away.
Did you ask yourself to be switched to this new role?
hire a psychologist and identify in which areas of your life you do have control?
eg maybe start gym or healthy eating, or walking 10k steps daily
you will become more resilient once you feel more in control. but to our brains it does not matter in which area of life you gain control.
