The high end of a posted salary range is almost always unattainable. That salary would be for someone with extensive experience, a prestigious education, and skills that are desperately needed. For the most part, the high end is really window dressing to make the posting more attractive. Offers come in at the low end, or the low middle, because that's the real salary that aligns with most people's experience.
It does seem misleading, especially with the focus on flexibility. I haven't seen many people land the top of the range, to be honest. It would be great to see companies be more transparent about their pay!
I'm a realist. Americas GDP is sick people and we treat them. its the new factory work since we don't "make many physical products". specializing skills would be the way to the top pay otherwise insert factory worker.. into chain we all go. my entire family works the healthcare gamut. only person making bank is clinical.
It feels like outright manipulation sometimes. Though I usually assume that the top of the range is unattainable, I would expect someone who meets their needs to at least be in the middle of the range. But nope, not these days.
