I know there are a lot of folks looking for jobs and I don’t want to offend anyone but am looking for some guidance.
I’ve been an EA for many years in advertising and have been told I’d make a great PM. I’m growing weary of my profession because it’s very undervalued but many of my skills are transferable. I’ve recently entered “middle age” so that’s not in my favor, nonetheless, I’m thinking about a pivot. If anyone has any advice or has made a similar transition would love to hear from you!

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

I just had my 3 month performance evaluation. It went really well and I received a raise, but I’m worried if I should of negotiated it. It went from $41K to $45K. Is this reasonable? I’m considering I’ve been in the field for only 3 months.

Project & program managers - what's your role, what field do you work in, what city do you live in, and how much do you make?

I'm a senior project manager working in marketing/PR in Toronto, making $90K. I want to jump fields because marketing isn't really my thing. I'm interested to know what options are out there and if it's worth changing things up!

Has anyone here gone from PM to Resource Management or vice versa? There seem to be a lot of resource management jobs out there, but they seem more monotonous than managing projects. What is the career trajectory for a RM?

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I’m thinking about making the switch myself but I don’t have a digital background.
