I'm a data analyst(SQL, Python, ETL, Viz) with 6.5yrs exp at LTI(1 Month exp).
I left PWC AC after 6 months of joining because of the nature of dabba work I was getting(80% testing/documentation, 20% technical). Worked for 12+ hrs everyday and wanted to have some wlb.

Now in LTI, life is too peaceful and there's no technical work in current project. I'm getting thoughts like I'm wasting my skills by taking less tech projects at this stage of career.

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity.
