I need to know how others who are possibly in this situation see this, but I think it's wild that my boss gets to go on a 3-week vacation for the holidays while we still have to hold the fort and keep up the 'GO TEAM!" attitude all while getting no bonus, no cost of living adjustment, no nothing. Does the lifestyle gap bother you too?

That is the glowing reason to move up into that spot. I have PTO to take too, I just don’t like taking it all at once. The gap doesn’t bother me because it will always exist in some capacity.

Started in BL as a midlevel two weeks back and had a pre planned vacation which I’ve let anyone who I’m working with know about (in addition to letting the firm know before I started).
