You won’t qualify for internships since you already graduated.
Go to your state (and city) government website and apply for jobs there. Most business/financial-related state positions literally require “any bachelors degree and 10 accounting hours”. Having an accounting degree is a major plus.
There’s Less competition for state jobs since most people don’t think about gov when looking for jobs, short application windows, and pay is low. Great way to get your foot in the door and get experience tor your resume.
Positions you may want to consider include Revenue Auditor, auditor, analyst , taxpayer specialist, budget, etc.
It’s also busy season and most firms aren’t hiring new people right now. The hiring should pick up after 4/30
I’m looking for a job. I have some experience in the housekeeping.
I'd go local and find a smaller tax/accounting firm.. do a walk in and bring a resume. Explain you just graduated and are looking for some experience. I have 13 years and no degree and have been turned down more than interviewed over the last month. That degree will matter you just need a foot in the door for a few years experience. Tell them you'll take part time, temporary, tryout, etc. There is a need but I do notice the experience piece on every job I've applied for too. Or write an exceptional cover letter and stress you are looking for experience and will take any position to gain it. Something will pull through! Congratulations on your degree, that's a HUGE step forward in your career!!! Good Luck ~ Don't Quit, Do It!
