For #4: Ask in Global Noise channel. Or go into jigsaw, do a "People search" for all of LATAM. Then find any Indian-sounding names, and ping them 1x1 asking for such info.
I have done a couple of IAs (or LTAs as they were called in the past) over the years.
1. you should reach out to staffing and / or your TBP. Also talk to your project manager (if you are currently in a project) after talking to staffing.
2. Since this will be like an intra-company transfer across countries, your salary will definitely change. Based on where you are from, what grade & role you are playing, etc - there will a salary band for the target country. You can negotiate within that band. There are other items beyond just the salary - for eg, relocation allowance, hotel for first 2 weeks, assistance with tax in both countries during the transition, help in finding and securing an apartment, number of fly-backs, etc which will be part of the package.
3. If you are a meat-eater, LATAM is ok; else afaik, its quite difficult for a vegetarian. On the work-front, the LATAM folks that I have interacted with, they tend to only speak in their native language - so learning that is definitely a necessary skill you need to acquire. Since LATAM is considered "near-shore" for NA-based clients, there's a good chance of being staffed onto NA projects (at least at the current time).
