Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)

Same as PwC1 - but I buy quantities of good vintages that I *may* sell in future. Example being 15 cases of 2016 Bordeaux (mostly Pomerol and St Emilion) that were bought en primeur and haven’t even taken delivery yet. Just sitting in bond (tax not paid) so easy to sell if needed or wanted but think I’ll really appreciate having them 10-20-30 years down the line.
When you’re buying stuff with age - provenance is key. People will pay more for a lot that is still OWC (original wood case) vs. an orphan bottle. If I’m buying a full case I have more confidence the wine was stored well. When I’m buying a single bottle I’m taking a flyer that the wine hasn’t traded hands a million times and been stored poorly.
Age, yes. Resell, no
This is a super interesting topic. I concur with the post the provenance is key. It’s also interesting to pay attention to vintages with longevity. Most wine consumption today happens too early. Thus, the longer you can hold the better. A second challenge is where and how to sell.
