I TEACH my students how to take notes. I go over it extensively in class and even take notes”live notes” along with my students. I believe this is invaluable.

But about half of my students have an IEP that calls for me to share notes. I think this is wrong, especially if I am taking notes live in class myself. So what happens is half of students just get the notes from their friends who have the IEP. They don’t seem to understand that the note taking IS the learning.
So what do I do?

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer.
